Newport Mill Middle School Vision and Mission Statements

Our Mission

As a diverse community of learners at Newport Mill Middle School, our mission is to work cooperatively to create a positive learning environment. To achieve this mission, we will work together to analyze our strengths and needs, to take responsibility for our actions, and to be models of motivated, life-long learners.

Our Vision

At Newport Mill Middle School, we will be living our mission when:

  • Students are challenged to reach their maximum achievement potential through rigorous instruction that is appropriate and respectful.
  • Students become responsible global thinkers that celebrate diversity through our International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme.
  • Students, staff, and families communicate openly and feel a sense of community both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Students form a positive social and academic identity that will prepare them to venture out into the world as successful citizens who can/will contribute to their community and to society.
